We are currently looking for a highly motivated SQL Server Developer with 5+ years’ experience and with hands-on experience in merging and migrating data from several databases.
While most of the work can be carried out daily in the office, certain tasks may involve travelling around Ireland, and therefore the candidate will need to have full driving license and a car.
1. Write T-SQL queries.
2. Perform ETL operations and data transformations using SSIS.
3. Merge data from different databases
4. Develop, test and troubleshoot data transformations.
5. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
6. Write and maintain documentation and user manuals when necessary.
7. Deployment and installation of SSIS packages.
8. Document database problems and resolutions for future reference.
9. Meet targets.
10. Consult with senior developers when needed.
11. Put in place database backup and maintenance processes.
13. Other duties as assigned.
1. Good written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate technical information to non technical audience) is a must.
2. Minimum of 5+ years T-SQL development experience, with good working knowledge of best practices.
3. Good understanding of BIDS and Visual Studio.
4. Minimum of 3 years’ experience using DTS / SSIS is a must.
5. SQL Server (2000 and onwards).
6. SQL Server Backups and Replication is a plus.
7. C# / ASP.NET is a plus.
8. VB6 / .NET development experience is a plus.
Normal working hours are between 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday.
The applicant must be self motivated and have the ability to work independently.

1. Support existing software applications via our support portal and over the phone.
2. Locate and correct system bugs within strict deadlines.
3. Develop, test and troubleshoot existing and new functionality according to specifications.
4. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
5. Write and maintain programming documentation and user manuals.
6. Deployment and installation of new and current software applications.
7. Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
8. Provide training to clients on how to use our software applications.
9. Meet targets.
10. Involvement in all stages of the software applications’ life cycle
11. Consult with senior developers when needed.
12. Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users.
13. Other duties as assigned.
1. Good written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate technical information to non technical audience) is a must
2. Minimum of 1 year development experience using VB6
3. C# / ASP.NET
4. SQL Server (2000 and onwards)
5. N- Tier applications (desirable but not essential)
6. AJAX or jQuery is a plus
